Neurodivergence Grows Up

We don’t grow out of it, but we can grow into it

through an empowered self-understanding.

Let’s widen our lens on what it means to be a healthy and thriving human being.

And begin to value —not just pathologize —neurodivergent traits.

Autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent traits are natural variations that bring challenges

and extraordinary strengths.

Kathryn Kelly, MA (she/they)

Hi. I am Autistic / ADHD and I also have a complex trauma history.

After decades of actively seeking health and balance through conventional paths, I realized that most of my persistent stress was not due to any personal failing. Rather, my difficulties stemmed from maintaining a robust but very different (neurodivergent) nervous system living within a world built for others.

I created Love & Moxie to support other neurodivergent people and the communities around us through education, advocacy, and inclusive systems work.

My passionate focus is on widening our collective lens toward a more positive and inclusive view of neurodivergence. Drawing on modern research, lived experience, and strengths-based insights, I collaborate with organizations and individuals to question norms and cast fresh eyes on neurodivergent realities with clarity, understanding, and renewed respect.

How My View is Informed

We’ve been told for too long that health and wellbeing belong to a mythical “normal” person.

Modern research and lived experience tell a different story.  Below is a small sample of the kind of updated research that inspires my philosophy.

Explore neurodivergence with renewed clarity, modern research, and levity through humor.
